World One, the world?s tallest residential skyscraper, with a proposed height of 442 m and 117 floors, is currently under construction in Mumbai. Simplex Infrastructures, the major contractor for this project, has put to use 60 concrete pumps and 30 boom placers.Sudheer Vathiyath talks to Samar Ghoshdastidar, Technical Director, Simplex Infrastructures, on the role played by concrete pumps in placing huge quantities of concrete continuously.Excerpts of the interview.
